The 65^th annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration offers Angelenos of all ages the opportunity to honor the dynamic, rich cultures of the county and experience the spectacular show like never before. Enjoy a diverse lineup of 28 L.A.-based artists, including many past favorites and some exciting new talent, presented with a fresh look and feel to welcome a new generation of audiences. With performances by choral groups, dance troupes, music ensembles and new artistic genres this year, such as a circus act and a marionette performance, the Holiday Celebration brings holiday cheer to all who attend and into the homes and hearts of all who tune in! Important Seating Information

You may reserve up to 4 tickets per order. Your seats will be held for up to 30 minutes after the event begins. If you arrive later than 30 minutes after the start time, please proceed to the standby line, where seating will be subject to availability.
Seating will be assigned by the box office in the order reservations are received, and all seating assignments are final.

New in 2024, advance reservations are one of two ways to enjoy the show. Each party can reserve up to four tickets online, by phone, or in person at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Box Office.

If advance reservations are fully booked, guests are encouraged to join our standby line on the day of the event. While admission isn’t guaranteed for the standby line, additional seats often become available on the day of the performance.

If you made your ticket reservation online, your e-ticket(s) will be delivered to your email address at least 48 hours prior to the performance.

If you called the box office and reserved by phone, your ticket(s) will be held at Will Call and you may pick them up on the day of the performance at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Box Office.

Seating will be assigned by the box office in the order reservations are received, and all seating assignments are final.

Doors to The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion open at 2:30 p.m. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to accommodate traffic delays and parking.

You will be directed to the standby line and seating will be subjected to availability.

Yes, you can still attend the performance without a reservation. There will be a standby line on the day of the performance and seating will be subject to availability.

Your entire party must be present altogether at the time of entry in order to be seated together.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recommends all guests, 6 months and older to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, however, vaccinations/boosters are no longer required for entry at Music Center performances, events and tours.

Masks are also strongly recommended indoors although not required.

Setting up chairs in line is prohibited.

Food is not permitted inside the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion auditorium. Drinks with lids are allowed.

Yes, you can leave and re-enter the Holiday Celebration; however, your seating upon re-entry is not guaranteed.

The following items are prohibited in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion auditorium and must be taken back to your car or checked in at coat check before entering the seating area:

History of the L.A. County Holiday Celebration

The annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration—presented by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors—provides Angelenos of all ages an opportunity to come together on December 24, and both experience and honor the dynamic, rich cultures of the county. Over the past 60 years, many diverse L.A.-based artists and community groups showcase their talent, artistry and traditions on The Music Center’s iconic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion stage. Founded in 1959 by the late Kenneth Hahn (supervisor of the Second District of Los Angeles County from 1952-1992)—who was an advocate for access to the arts—the free three-hour live production featured instrumental music, choral music and dance performances. In 2020, due to L.A. County's "Safer at Work and in the Community" order, the L.A. County Holiday Celebration was pre-recorded and aired on PBS SoCal and KCET and streamed on PBSSocal.org and KCET.org.

Awards

The 63^rd Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration was named the 2023 Silver Telly Winner in Television - Entertainment; the Gold Telly Winner in Television - Live Events; the Silver Telly Winner in Television - D&I; and the Bronze Telly Winner in People's Telly - Television Series/Shows/Segments.
The 62^nd Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration was named winner of a 2022 Los Angeles Emmy Award for Live Special Events - Programming.
The 60^th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration was named the winner of a 2020 Los Angeles Emmy® Award for Live Special Events - Programming.
The 59^th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration was named the winner of a 2019 Gold Telly Award for Television Craft, Use of Live Video; a Silver Telly for Television Entertainment; and a Silver Telly for Television Craft/Directing.
The 58^th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration was named the winner of a 2018 Silver Telly Award for Television / Live Event and a Bronze Telly for Television / Craft Director.
