For dance lovers,
The Beverly Hills Hotel was the place to be on June 14 for the first annual Center Dance Arts Pool Party, sponsored this year by Yves Saint Laurent.
Old Hollywood glamour came back to the famed pool of the legendary "pink hotel," as guests lounged in cabanas before enjoying a sumptuous seated dinner. The captivating water ballet troupe, Aquartistes, performed two pieces choreographed specially for the evening by Stephan Miermont, coach of the 2008 Olympic U.S. Synchronized Swim Team.
Joining in the festivities along with CDA members was a truly stellar crowd, including Honorary Chairman Demi Moore with Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, Kristin Davis, Minnie Driver, Nicole Richie, Jane Seymour, Sylvester Stallone, Barbara Walters, Kerry Washington, and may others. The evening raised close to $400,000 to support Dance at the Music Center presentations and CDA's Outreach Program, which brings the joy of dance to disadvantaged children.
