Fill your soul with the power of the blues.
Explore the blues with an emphasis on early styles of acoustic blues music. Learn riffs, pentatonic and blues scales, chord voicings, alternate tunings, ideas for solos, performance techniques including "slide" playing, and more. Discover the unique regional styles of blues music from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago and beyond.
Once confirmed, guitar rehearsals are 3 hours long, 9:30am to 12:30pm, on August 2, August 16, Sept 6, Sept 13, and Sept 27, with a final open rehearsal on September 28 at the Grand Avenue Festival.

GYCB SUMMER STRUM FOR GUITAR is intended for adult learners (18 years and up), non-professional/ recreational musicians with basic playing and reading skills (chords and/or TAB notation). Acoustic guitars only, please bring your own.
