Jeff Clayton (saxophone) is a co-leader of the Grammy-nominated Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. He has worked with legendary musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Ray Brown, Count Basie, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Oscar Peterson, and Ella Fitzgerald, to name a few. Mr. Clayton has taught at USC, UCLA, Vail Jazz Camp, and Stanford Jazz Camp, among others.
Reggie Hamilton (bass) is a professional musician and educator and has performed with many artists worldwide, including the legendary greats George Duke and Stanley Clarke. He has performed with the Atlantic City Orchestra and studied composition with Maestro Dennis Sandole. His current solo recording titled My Village features his talents both as a producer and composer.
Ricky Lawson (drums) is best known as the drummer for such artists as Michael Jackson, George Duke, Yellowjackets, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Al Jarreau, and many others. He is also a Grammy Award-winning composer and is one of the most respected songwriters, producers, and
arrangers in the music industry today.
Phil Upchurch (guitar) is a prolific guitarist who has been a prominent figure in the blues, soul, R&B, and jazz circles. His playing has graced well over a thousand recordings with the music industry’s biggest names, including Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, George Benson, Stan Getz, Cannonball Adderley, Herbie Hancock, and Grover Washington, Jr., among many others.
Wayne Vaughn (piano) is a producer, writer, arranger, and pianist. He can be heard on recordings with Freddie Hubbard, Ray Charles, and Manhattan Transfer, among others. He has been a member of the
American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers, National Association of Recording Arts and Science, and the Board of Governors of the Grammy Awards.
