Online Resources
  • Be prepared to present one solo in the style of your choice (street, tap, jazz, modern, etc.) not to exceed 3 minutes
  • Please refrain from using too many gymnastic or drill team movements
  • For all forms of dancing, except World Dance, your choreography must show a range of movements: turns, jumps, controlled movements, and extensions
  • Please keep floor work to a minimum
  • You may perform your own choreography
  • Applicants may not wear pointe shoes or costumes, unless a costume is required for the dance to be presented in an authentic manner, e.g., world dance
  • Please do not lip sync while dancing
  • You may use a tape or CD. Please make sure that it is of good quality with no audible applause
