Music Center of Los Angeles County Names Michelle Rosenthal Clark Vice President for Development

Los Angeles (January 14, 2008) - Music Center President, Stephen D. Rountree, announced today Michelle Rosenthal Clark's appointment as Vice President for Development. Clark will join the Music Center on April 28. She is currently Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California.
Rountree said, "Michelle will bring to the Center an extensive familiarity with philanthropy, arts and education in Los Angeles. She understands the needs of a thriving, nonprofit, cultural institution and her success in development will benefit the Center's fundraising efforts." Clark said, "This is an exciting and vibrant time for the arts in Los Angeles. As a longtime Music Center enthusiast, I look forward to furthering its mission to provide culturally rich and relevant programs for this wonderfully diverse region and to working to build upon the Center's four decades of success."
As the chief development officer for USC's Annenberg School, Clark developed and implemented the first comprehensive development program at the School which has raised over $175 million during her tenure and quintupled its endowment.
Prior to joining the Annenberg School in 1999, Clark was Executive Director of Development within the USC central advancement office managing a team of development professionals and supporting several of the University's arts schools. Clark also worked for several years as a senior development officer for the Queen of Angels - Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation before it became a for-profit hospital company.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and is an active dancer. Clark and her husband, Steven, are residents of Pasadena.
